A major milestone for the Plug Inn app

After several years of building a new way of thinking about electric charging together, we would like to inform you that the Plug Inn service as you know it today will cease operations on July 1, 2026. Renault Plug Inn is evolving to deliver even more performance, comfort and ease of use by becoming Plug Inn fast charge.

The Plug Inn community app is changing

Dear members of the Plug Inn community, after several years of building a new way of thinking about electric charging together, we would like to inform you that the Plug Inn service as you know it today will cease operations on July 1, 2026. From that date onwards, you will no longer be able to share your charging station with other users, nor benefit from charging points shared by the community. All features related to peer-to-peer charging station sharing will be permanently disabled.

This change marks the end of a pioneering peer-to-peer charging model and opens the door to a major evolution: Plug Inn is changing and becoming Plug Inn fast charge — a network of ultra-fast charging stations designed to optimize your electric vehicle experience. This charging station network, operated directly by Renault, has been designed to deliver the simplest, most comfortable and most reliable ultra-fast charging experience possible, both for daily use and long-distance travel.

The Plug Inn service will remain operational until June 30, 2026.

One chapter closes and a new story begins.

We would like to express our sincerest thanks. More than 50,000 members joined the Plug Inn community app, and over 2,000 charging points were shared with other electric vehicle drivers. Renault’s mission remains unchanged: to support all electric vehicle drivers, remove barriers to sustainable mobility, and make charging simple, accessible and hassle-free. It is precisely in this spirit that this new chapter begins.
